Hello from Priceless in Primary. My name is Chrissy. I am a Canadian Teacher from Sault Ste. Marie, ON. This is my non-standard Measurement Activity. Meter Monsters.

I have been doing this activity for many years, much to the delight of my students. The best of all activities is measuring from the classroom to the other end of the school. In our case it’s the gym. The kids adore it so do my coworkers and admin. Can’t go wrong with this kind of fun.

Simply photocopy the monsters your students choose. Have them cut out and tape it together into an approximate meter and go have them explore and measure. No better activity to do and always a hit.
